 Be Part of Active Ashfield's 2012 for FREE
released. 10th April 2012 Free weekly coaching sessions are taking place across Ashfield from the end of April until June in athletics, gymnastics and hockey. The coaching will lead to participants taking part in competitions at the Active Ashfield Games Opening Ceremony event which will take place on Saturday 3oth June at Ashfield School.
No experience is necessary as the fun coaching will be delivered by fully qualified coaches from local clubs.Jus turn up at any of the sessions to register:

 Swimmers show support to Paralympic hopefuls
Over 100 swimmers turned out for the Active Ashfield Sponsored Swim to show their support to Ashfield's Paralympians, Ollie and Sam Hynd.
The event took place at the Lammas Pool, Sutton-in-Ashfield, organised jointly by Ashfield District Council, Sutton Swimming Club, Everyone Active and O.A.S.I.S. (Olympians from Ashfield Support In Sport).
All funds raised from the swim will be donated to 'Team Hynd' to support their bid to become London 2012 Paralympic Champions. £476 was raised in entry fees and relay entries for a Sutton Swimming Club Relay Race. In addition to this, sponsorship will be collected by swimmers over the next few weeks to take the total even higher.
