    Pete’s role is to Influence, support, assist, co-ordinate, develop, and where necessary, lobby existing and potential providers of sport in Nottinghamshire to be inclusive of disabled people. He also works with young disabled people identified as potentially talented, alongside their support networks, to break down the barriers preventing their progression. Pete works in partnership with district councils, schools, national governing bodies, sports clubs and other sporting organisations.

    Carol is s responsible for the strategic direction and developoment of sport in Ashfield. She is responsible for the Active Ashfield Club Accreditation and Volunteer Schemes and increasing participation. Carol also manages Active Ashfield sporting events and plays a key role for Ashfield in the lead up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

    Theresa Manages Ashfield District Council’s Strategic Leisure Unit and provides leadership within the Council for sports, leisure and health related programmes and issues. Key areas of work for the unit are Leisure Centre Performance, Events Management, Sports Development, Healthy Living and Physical Activity.

    Dianne is responsible for physical activity programmes within Ashfield, including the Exercise Referal and MEND Programmes.

    Responsible for management and development of Ashfield District School Sports Partnership. Through a team of Schools Sports Co-ordinators in secondary schools, Primary Link Teachers in primary schools, Coaches, a Competition Manager, an Assistant PDM, and other volunteers and community partners, the Partnership is tasked with:

    > Improving the quality and quantity of PE in schools;> Improving the quality and quantity of out of school hours activities;> Improving links with local sports clubs and increasing participation by pupils;> Improving the quality and quantity of competitions available for pupils;> Developing leadership and volunteering opportunities for pupils.
