The event will take place at the Festival Hall Leisure Centre in Kirkby in-Ashfield on Friday 21st November, by invitation only.
All nominations (apart from Service to Sport) are for achievements between October 1st 2013 and September 30th 2014.

NewsWill Sprints to Success in National Final

Sports legend Linford Christie welcomed winners from the Sutton-in-Ashfield Street Athletics heat held in June as part of the 2014 Active Ashfield games, to the National Street Athletics final in Manchester at the weekend, seeing many young stars breaking into the limelight.

Will Bradley was one of the runners making a huge impact in the competition, sprinting to his victory in the U15 Boys 60 metre sprint. Will was undefeated, winning through the heat, semi-final and final with ease.

B Active - B Healthy is a family healthy lifestyle programme being delivered in Ashfield in partnership by Ashfield District Council and Everyone Active.

Families with children aged 7-15 years can now sign up to the programme which aims to provide support for families who would like to become more active and adopt a healthier balanced diet.

NewsStop Bullying In Sport Campaign Launched

A new Active Ashfield campaign to advise local young people about bullying in sport was launched recently at Ashfield Gymnastics Club in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Handily sized information cards giving advice for children and young people from children and young people are being made available to clubs and leisure centres to hand out to the young people who take part in their sporting sessions.

NewsLocal Children Increase Their Fitness Levels

Pupils of two local primary schools have seen significant increases in their health and fitness levels thanks to a new programme which has been piloted in Ashfield.
Lower key stage 2 students of Mapplewells and Hillocks Primary Schools took part in the six week Sporting FUNdamentals programme, run by Everyone Active, with the results showing an 14% and 21% increase in health and fitness respectively.
